 
 
As part of the Tram Grade Separation Projects, major construction works commence today, Monday 4 August 2025, resulting in a six-month partial closure of the Glenelg tram line between South Terrace and Moseley Square.
This vital upgrade will remove key level crossings and rebuild infrastructure to improve safety, reliability, and accessibility for all road and public transport users.
🚌 Substitute Bus Services
To support passengers during this period, replacement buses will operate every 5–20 minutes, matching tram frequency and capacity:
GLN1 – All stops
GLN2 – Limited stops
GLN3 – Express service
Tram services will continue to operate between:
✅ South Terrace and Royal Adelaide Hospital
✅ Botanic Gardens and Entertainment Centre
